Last  Friday, 7th of October, at Villa Pace took place the meeting titled “Il benessere organizzativo come leva delle performance aziendali. Quali strategie per una Nice Company in Sanità? (The organizational welfare as a lever of business performances. Which strategies to adopt for a Nice Company within Public Health Service? )”, organized by the Azienda Ospedaliera Universitaria of Messina in collaboration with the FIASO and in line with the meeting concerning the theme in question which has been put forward by the FIASO itself.

The meeting is investigating how good organizational practices could further the living together in the working places promoting, preserving and improving the quality of life.
The aim of the FIASO meeting, as remembered during the conference by Dr. Enrico Salvi (Director SC of Clinical Phsychology of ASL 12 in Versilia) and by Dr Daniele Saglietti (Director SC of Clinical Psychology of ASL CN2), is that of fixing the attention on these themes during moments of confrontation between the hospitals and health services, in order to unify the guiding values on national scale.
The Director of ASL 12 in Versilia, Dr Giancarlo Sassoli, head of the meeting and member of the FIASO Presidency Committee, showed great satisfaction with the work that has been carried out  in order to investigate the well-being felt by the personnel of the hospitals and to draw up ethical standards which will include the guiding values of the organizational welfare.

The introduction to the meeting has been done by the highest authorities of the Policlinico of Messina, the Director, Dr. Giuseppe Pecoraro, and the Rector of the University, Francesco Tomasello, who underlined how the well-being, synonim of word, smile and moral satisfaction in working places, allows doctors and the personnel of the hospitals to show welcome and humanity while meeting the patient.
Dr Lorenzo Terranova, FIASO scientific director, has then remembered that the improvement and the humanization of the work environment are important factors for the growing and the perseveration of the enterprises competitiveness in a broad sense.

The second part of the day has been dedicated to a series of speeches, chaired by Dr. Pecoraro, who opened the debate remembering that the achievement of the hospital’s goals is necessarily due to the people’s well-being and that the task of the Director is that of tending to the continuous improvement in this sense involving and motivating his collaborators.
Conversely, Claudio Loccioni, Loccioni humancare Director, has brought the experience of his Group; a Group whose activity has been appreciated by the organizers of the meeting due to its attention to people, its organizational climate that is ideal for the development and the well-being of the collaborators and the enterprise.
While illustrating the methodology, the philosophy and the values of the enterprise, Eng. Loccioni has presented APOTECACommunity, an opportunity of conversation between clients and collaborators just as a roots of ideas, innovations and sincere relationships, a mix that guarantees to all employees of the Group a great satisfaction.
Of great interest was the point of view of Gilberto Dondé, CEO of Great Place to Work, who asserts that the enterprises would be supposed to ensure that services, that the State does not ensure to people, creating an environment that allows the collaborators to benefit from opportunities and to live decorously.
Marco Rotondi, President of IEN, namely an institution aiming to spread the organizational welfare within the organizations, has explained, later on, which are the foundations of the model of Nice Company and the organizational Wellness: the power of ideas, clever innovation and the care towards clients.
Dr. Benedetta Persichino (Dipartimento Medicina del Lavoro of INAIL), the President of the CUG (Comitato Unico di Garanzia) Maria Assunta Giannini, Dr. Giuseppe Massazza (Direttore Programmazione e Controllo of the Azienda C.T.O. di Torino), Professor Maurizio Ballistreri (University of Messina) and the magistrate Oriana Calabresi, councillor of the State Auditors’ Department, have eventually investigated with great competence and straightforwardness the juridical, administrative, bureaucratic and organizational aspects concerning the working conditions within organizations and the potential instruments of improvement in so far as the legislation is concerned.

At the end of the meeting, Dr Giovanni Monchiero, President of FIASO and external Administrator of the ASL 1 e 2 di Cuneo, underlined the importance of the meeting since it has involved the Directors and specialists belonging to many structures. The well-being, together with the spirit of belonging and the maximum trasparency, is fundamental in order to achieve the goals of the organizations, since it leds to a sincere collaboration and solidarity among people.
